Ric is doing an excellent job with the picture taking tasks. :-) He has planned a day for Teresa and I to visit as many Sakura Poplar Viewing sites in Tokyo, Japan. We are standing in line at 9am waiting for our turn to enter the Shinjuku Park in Tokyo. I have been here before this week but we are going to try and finish viewing the other half of the park that we did not have time to view. So excited to be again and see what we missed. This is Ric's first time to be in this park I'm sure he will be impressed with its beauty and Teresa and I were.

The park is already flowing with people wanting the perfect spot under one of this Sakura trees.
When a tree is in need of some TLC they are sure to doctor the trees back to health. Look at the wrapping on this tree. All trees are well taken care of. One can see the love of the sakura trees here in the park.

If you look close you can see a beautiful bird amongst the flowering sakura tree. Can you find it?
Hanami is the centuries old practice of picnicking under a blooming sakura or ume tree. The custom was originally limited to the elite of the Imperial court, but soon spread to the common people as well. Under the sakura trees, people had lunch and drank sake in cheerful feasts.
Low man in the company has to go put out the blue tarp to save their spot so when the others arrive they have a spot to celebrate the sakura trees.
When we left the park the line to get in was as far as you could see, thank goodness we got there so early.
